FACULTY: TOM LENNON
Tom Lennon has been teaching graphic design at Seattle Central since 1998, but he
remembers life as a student of SCCC's Advertising Art program in the early 1980's.
Before that, he was an early graduate of The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington.
He did a lot of traditional paste-up, eventually becoming an art director in Seattle ad agencies,
then a freelance designer and copywriter for his own clients. Tom teaches classes in graphic
design history, art direction, corporate identity, package design, and color theory. Among his
heroes are Thelonious Monk, Sandy Koufax, and James Thurber.
